I had a client who presented four declaration pages of the Visitor Sponsorship forms without producing the rest of the forms. I refused to take the declarations and the client got quite upset about it. I suspected that this could possibly involve some sort of people smuggling and regret I did not take down the name and details of the client before he left so that the incident could be reported to the Immigration department.

Yesterday I had a client presenting a visitor sponsorship form for three men classed as 'friends'. the client could not speak, read or understand english, yet the portion of the form to be filled by anyone assisting in the filling out of the form was not completed. I therefore declined to take his declaration.

I had a similar experience this week to the above. An Indian woman, accompanied by two relatives, produced two sponsorship forms for attesting. She could nor understand or speak English. There was no evidence accompanying the form that she had any assets, employment or income. I had to rely on her, younger, relatives to communicate with the sponsor. I refused to sign the forms.
